About Janice

Janice enjoying her Birthday celebration when she was 3-years old. She continues to love throwing parties for all the little girls.

Janice has a long-standing commitment to community service. While living in Quincy, she dedicated countless hours volunteering with Quincy Valley Allied Arts, supporting local theater productions and securing grants to ensure the continuation of annual performances.

She remains actively involved in her faith community, serving in a women’s organization at her church and contributing her time at the Moses Lake Temple. Janice has also mentored young people by teaching early morning seminary classes online to high school students across Washington and Idaho.

Known for her hospitality, Janice enjoys hosting tea parties for local grade school girls, sharing her love of tradition through her cherished collection of china and antiques. These gatherings have become a beloved tradition within the community.

In her role as Grant County Student Exchange Director, Janice led two international exchange tours, welcoming 14 students from Japan and fostering meaningful cultural connections that enriched the community.

Janice currently services at a Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) for the Grant County Republican Party.

Fiscal Responsibility: With the upcoming retirement of the Treasurer and Auditor, experienced leadership is essential to ensure continuity, accountability, and the careful stewardship of public funds.

Infrastructure & Safety: Prioritize the maintenance and improvement of county roads, while advancing safety initiatives to ensure safer travel for all residents.

Permitting & Planning: Improve efficiency in building and planning permits while advocating for practical solutions to minimize burdensome state regulations.

Continuity of Government: With leadership changes ahead, experienced guidance is critical to maintaining consistency, accountability, and effective governance.

Janice brings a strong, practical understanding of how government works. Through her experience in the Commissioner’s Office and as a municipal Finance Director, she has managed state and federal grants and developed a deep commitment to protecting taxpayer dollars through responsible financial stewardship.

Her background also includes extensive private sector experience, from overseeing large-scale property management operations to working closely with local families in an insurance office. This combination gives Janice a well-rounded, real-world perspective on the challenges facing both businesses and residents in our community.
